The remainder of the Top 10 — State Farm, Discovery, Aioi Nissay Dowa, Generali, Liberty Mutual, Intact Insurance, and Root — represent a diverse group of insurers across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. Methodology overview

For this ranking, all insurance companies with telematics programmes were evaluated using a structured, weighted framework covering the full connected insurance value chain — from programme design and customer experience, through risk assessment and claims integration, to scale, maturity, and innovation.

The assessment considers factors such as:

• Customer onboarding and overall UBI experience

• Richness of telematics features across personal & commercial lines

• Driver monitoring, crash detection, eFNOL, and claims integration

• Driver engagement, coaching, rewards, and risk reduction

• Programme scale, insurer focus on UBI, and operational maturity

• Innovation, including the use of advanced analytics and AI/ML

Each insurer’s results were consolidated into category-level scores and combined using a weighted approach to produce the final ranking.
