Ivo Laniar is a Consultant at PTOLEMUS Consulting Group. He supports global strategy projects with a focus on mobility, insurance, and automotive transformation.

At PTOLEMUS, Ivo combines his engineering background and strategy expertise to help clients navigate the fast-changing mobility and insurance landscape. He works on assignments ranging from financial and market modelling to strategic roadmaps, always focused on translating complex data into clear recommendations for decision-makers.

His recent work has centered on ADAS, autonomous driving, and connected insurance. He has led the form’s market forecasting for the Usage-Based Insurance market and assessed the impact of connected and self-driving vehicles on motor insurance.

Prior to joining PTOLEMUS, Ivo spent nearly a decade at FEV Europe, managing large-scale projects for international OEMs and suppliers. His experience covers product strategy, emissions and OBD compliance, and operational efficiency initiatives, giving him a unique perspective at the intersection of technology and business.

Ivo earned his MBA in Strategy at HEC Paris, following dual master’s degrees in automotive and powertrain engineering from IFP School (France) and the Czech Technical University in Prague.
