PTOLEMUS advises Blume Equity on its €49m investment in CameraMatics
Brussels, 10th June 2026 — PTOLEMUS Consulting Group, the strategy consultancy focused on mobility, today confirmed it advised Blume Equity, the European climate-tech growth investor, on its investment in CameraMatics, the Irish fleet safety and connected fleet intelligence specialist.
As reported by The Irish Times, CameraMatics has raised €49 million from a consortium led by Blume Equity, alongside the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) and AIB’s Goodbody Capital Partners. The investment will support the next phase of the company’s international expansion and product innovation across Ireland, Britain, Europe and the United States.
PTOLEMUS supported Blume Equity with the commercial and technology due diligence of CameraMatics, drawing on its proprietary research into the video telematics and fleet management markets in the British Isles and the US.
Founded in Ireland in 2016 by Mervyn O’Callaghan and Simon Murray, CameraMatics combines AI-driven video intelligence, advanced driver assistance and real-time analytics to help commercial fleet operators improve safety, reduce operational risk and lower carbon emissions. The company serves close to 1,000 fleet customers, with around 100,000 devices installed across both sides of the Atlantic.
Frederic Bruneteau, Managing Director, PTOLEMUS “Video telematics is one of the fastest growing segments of fleet management services (FMS), sitting at the intersection of safety, efficiency and sustainability. We were pleased to bring our due diligence experience and market expertise to Blume Equity on this investment.”
