PTOLEMUS Consulting Group is a specialised research & strategy consulting firm focused on connected mobility and transport. We support clients across 41 countries in understanding how emerging technologies are reshaping mobility markets and in translating those changes into practical growth, innovation and investment strategies.
Our projects are predominantly international and combine deep sector expertise with rigorous strategy consulting. We advise a diverse client base including car manufacturers, content providers, insurance and assistance companies, private equity firms, mobile operators, energy companies, telematics service providers, Transport Ministries and technology suppliers.
Our expertise spans connected and automated vehicles, connected insurance, fleet management, electronic tolling, fuel card services and vehicle electrification. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and intellectually curious intern who wants to contribute to the future of safer, more efficient and more sustainable mobility.
The opportunity
From the outset, you will work as an integral member of project teams and contribute to both strategic assignments and research-intensive engagements. The internship offers exposure to a broad range of consulting and research questions, from market entry and product strategy to due diligence, competitive intelligence and market analysis and forecasting.
Your Mission
- Strategy and problem solving: contribute to strategy development, market-entry assessments, product and service launches, growth initiatives, commercial due diligence and competitive analysis.
- Market and competitor research: structure and conduct rigorous primary and secondary research; synthesise industry developments, customer needs, competitive moves and regulatory or technology trends into clear insights.
- Quantitative analysis and forecasting: support market sizing, scenario analysis and specialised market forecasts; work with quantitative data to build fact-based conclusions and recommendations.
- Client deliverables: help produce high-quality presentations, reports, analyses and other materials that communicate complex findings in a clear, concise and compelling way.
- Project participation: contribute across the full project lifecycle, from defining research questions and gathering evidence to developing recommendations and preparing final deliverables.
- Interviews and expert input: depending on project needs, support the preparation and synthesis of interviews with industry executives, experts and other market participants.
- Workshops and client interaction: assist with the preparation, organisation and facilitation of in-person and virtual client workshops and working sessions.
- Knowledge development: contribute to internal knowledge building, thought leadership and research initiatives in PTOLEMUS’ core mobility and technology domains.
- Team contribution: take ownership of your workstreams, collaborate closely with consultants and managers, and contribute proactively to team and firm initiatives.

Your profile
Your profile
- Education: currently completing, or recently completed, a Master’s degree or MBA from a recognised business or engineering school, university, or another highly analytical academic programme.
- Relevant experience: some previous exposure to strategy consulting, market research, corporate strategy, investment analysis or a comparable analytical environment. Prior internship experience is valued even if limited.
- International outlook: experience studying, working or living abroad, combined with an interest in working across cultures and markets.
- Analytical skills: excellent analytical, quantitative and organisational abilities, with the capacity to structure ambiguous questions, work with data and draw robust conclusions.
- Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into concise messages.
- Languages: fluency in English (French is an asset) is required, including strong professional writing skills. Additional European languages are an advantage.
- Digital tools: strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, or the ability to become highly proficient quickly (Keynote experience is an asset)
- Sector interest: genuine interest in automotive, insurance, telecommunications, connected services, IoT, electrification and the wider mobility ecosystem.
