Matthieux Noel

Matthieu has gained 7 years of experience in the automotive industry in technical, strategy, marketing and business development including 6 years in consulting positions primarily helping car manufacturers  and tier-1 suppliers such as BMW, Cummins, PSA Peugeot-Citroën, Renault-Nissan and Faurecia.

Within PTOLEMUS, he has advised numerous clients of the mobility eco-system such as Admiral, Airbiquity, Allianz, Bridgestone, Kapsch, Matmut, Michelin, Mondial Assistance, Octo Telematics, XEE or Vodafone Automotive in defining and implementing their strategy. He holds expert knowledge of domains such as connected vehicle data & analytics, OBD dongles, roadside assistance, vehicle repair and maintenance, insurance, fleet telematics, fuel card services, ETC, UBI, autonomous vehicles, etc.

He led or participated in more than 20 consulting assignments, particularly in Usage-based Insurance (UBI), fleet management (FMS) and vehicle OBD data analytics for numerous applications such as vehicle remote diagnostics, eco-driving and driving behaviour analysis. He also recently contributed to the publication of the Insurance Telematics Global Study, Electronic Toll collection Global Study, Global Mobility Forecast and Autonomous Vehicles. 

Matthieu regularly speaks and moderates panels on automotive, mobility and telematics services at conferences. He recently presented the future of the UBI market at Telematics India conference in Bangalore.

Before PTOLEMUS, Matthieu was consultant with 7M Consulting, a French strategic consulting firm specialised in the automotive industry. He contributed to many strategic assignment for major automotive manufacturers in Europe. Previously, he was junior consultant with Deloitte Consulting, within the Industry Strategy & Operation branch.

Matthieu also acquired automotive engineering expertise from his experience as a design engineer with Cummins Ltd. in the United Kingdom on the development of diesel engines for a Chinese automotive supplier.

Matthieu holds a Master degree in Automotive Engineering and Project Management from ESTACA, Paris and a Specialised Master of Marketing from HEC School of Management, Paris.
